I'd like to dedicate this blog to my favorite cheesy TV show at the moment, ?Dancing with the Stars? ? yes, that?s right. I?ve decided that I?m rooting for Helio and Julianne for two reasons: 1 - they?re adorable and 2 ? Helio?s the underdog since he?s the only non-entertainer competitor (he?s actually a racecar driver!). I have a tendency of supporting the underdog since it always makes things more interesting.

Even while enjoying IWON, I?m always looking to see who our newest ?underdog? winners are. I especially love seeing first-time winners since it makes me feel good knowing that we?ve satisfied yet another skeptical IWON member.

I noticed that William B. from New Kensington, PA recently won a Samsung 30-inch HDTV while playing on the Spin 2 Win! Congrats Will!

How awesome is that! Another testament of how you could win amazing prizes by simply playing games! Go ahead, keep playing and stay positive. I bet Will never imagined he would win a flat screen TV, but his love for IWON and game playing kept him going and look where that got him.

Thanks for all the great feedback and comments, guys! We've noticed that many of you are asking similar questions, so we've compiled and answered the Top 3 for this week. 1. Is IWON for real ... do you really give away all those prizes?
Of course we do! We wouldn't lie (not to mention that would be illegal). Check out our Official Rules and our list of winners. It's all legit! The more you play and support our sponsors, the more money we earn ... and the more we earn, the more we can give right back to YOU!

2. How come I can't earn more coins - is there a daily limit?
Yes, there is a limit to the number of coins you can earn in a day. The good news is... it's a rather high limit. (500K for Casino games and 120K for all other games.) By implementing coin limits, it ensures everyone gets a fair chance at winning our great prizes.

3. How does the Progressive Jackpot work?
You've no doubt noticed that most of our games each have a Progressive Jackpot amount associated with it. The jackpot starts at $50 and increases every hour until someone either wins the prize, or until it reaches $3,000. (At which point it remains frozen at that $3,000 amount until we have our next winner.) When someone wins that game's Progressive Jackpot, the amount resets back to $50 and starts growing again.

For a chance to win the jackpot, you earn Spins at the completion of each game. The more you play (and the better you play), the more Spins you earn. Spins reset at the start of a new game, so remember to use all your newly earned Spins immediately.

1. Java
This is the most basic software needed for IWON. In fact, you probably already have it working on your browser, but just in case you don't, you can get it here:

Most of our Casino games, as well as a number of our other "classics" are Java games. If you play a lot, remember to clear your Java cache once in awhile as well. Here are the instructions. Simple and quick, this can often be a cure all for what ails ya'. (or your game at least)

2. Macromedia Flash
If you're an Internet addict, like myself, you gotta have Flash. If you don't have it .... get it here!

Flash will help out with a number of sites on the net, so it's a good thing to have. Some of my favorite games on the site are Flash - Pie Oh My - Drip Drop Sudoku - and it provides one of the best platforms to present games.

3. Shockwave
Shockwave could be the one you don't have. It's available here to download. A lot of our best puzzle and word games are Shockwave, so make sure you have it.

If you're using a Mac, as I often do, you will need to get plug-ins for Java and Flash. Unfortunately there is no compatible version of Shockwave for the newer Intel Macs, so if you want to play those games, my best suggestion is to play the other games enough until you can afford a second computer. Or you could mooch off some Windows loving friend, either way works.

And remember, all of this software is free and more importantly safe! So go get it, start playing and have some fun!


Playing a lot of Alpha Bugs? (I know I am!) If you hit the space bar while playing, it will reorder the letters, providing you with new ideas for words you hadn't thought of. And you can type GOBER as many times as you want, and it will still not be a word ... junk!
